Disneyland, Disney World to host special preview of “Coco” in November

A special preview of Disney-Pixar’s “Coco” will start at both Disneyland and Disney World on Nov. 3, 2017.

The special preview will be seen at Hollywood Studios in Disney World at the Walt Disney Presents attraction, where in addition to the film clip will be artwork and character sculptures.

The film on the west coast will be seen in the Disney California Adventure in 3D wth special effects at the sunset Showcase Theater in Hollywood Land. The movie will be in theaters on Nov. 22, 2017.

In addition, to the movie, at California Adventure, new festivity at Paradise Gardens begins Sept. 15 that celebrates the film. Plaza de la Familia features daily performances of “A Musical Celebration of ‘Coco,’” “The World of ‘Coco’” exhibit, authentic Mariachi music on the bandstand, a Tree of Life interactive photo location, face painting and delicious foods, all inspired by the Mexican holiday Día de los Muertos. The event lasts from Sept. 15 to Nov. 2.

In “Coco,” Miguel dreams of becoming an accomplished musician, despite his family’s baffling generations-old ban on music. Desperate to prove his talent, Miguel finds himself in the stunning and colorful Land of the Dead following a mysterious chain of events. Along the way, he meets charming trickster Hector, and together, they set off on an extraordinary journey to unlock the real story behind Miguel’s family history.
