Is this Disney’s Ariel gone wild?

Disney bills this mug as a Pirates of the Caribbean keepsake, but to us it looks more like a “Mermaids Gone Wild” version of Ariel. She even looks like she’s holding Ursula’s shell necklace. Maybe she took that whole “you have your looks, your pretty face” thing to heart.

Or maybe Disney is just trying to get on board the current Internet trend of redrawing Disney princesses without makeup, or plus-size, or in their later years.

Whatever. We’re pretty sure King Triton would prefer his little girl to be human than to be a seductress of pirates.
