Disneyland 60th anniversary celebration extended to September 2016

There will still be plenty of time to take part in Disneyland’s 60th anniversary celebration.

The Diamond Celebration will go through the summer of 2016 and finish on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 5, 2016, Disney has announced.

The celebration kicked off May 22, 2015 with special shows created for the anniversary, including the “Paint the Night” parade, the “Disneyland Forever” fireworks show and the “World of Color – Celebrate! The Wonderful World of Walt Disney.”

Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland and Carthay Circle Theatre in California Adventure each are dressed with diamond medallions. Mickey Mouse and other characters are dressed in sparkling Diamond Celebration costumes, and there are new window displays at the Main Street Emporium in Disneyland.
