New classic images of Walt Disney now available through Walt Disney Archives

Disney fans will now be able to purchase photos of a young Walt Disney circa 1932 to the 1950s as part of a online print-on-demand photo service being unveiled on Dec. 5, 2015, what would have been Walt Disney’s 114th birthday.

The artwork comes from the Walt Disney Archives. The roughly 4 million photos, from negatives, in the archive rarely leave the storage facility, but as more and more digital copies are being mace, the archives is offering the public the opportunity to own a print.

According to a new release from the archives, some photos to be made available include: Walt circa 1932 surrounded by more than a dozen plush Mickey Mouse dolls, a shot of Sleeping Beauty Castle at Disneyland on opening day in 1955, behind-the-scenes photograph of musicians during the filming of the Fantasia (1940), as well as a shot of Walt and his staff with the groundbreaking multiplane camera during the 1951 filming of Alice in Wonderland.

The photographs can be found at DisneyPhotoArchives.com.. The costs range from an 11’’ x 14’’ print on paper or gallery–wrapped canvas  at $59 to to a 20’’ x 20’’ print in a natural or black wood frame  for 150.
