Photos: California man wins Star Wars Half Marathon for second year in a row at Disneyland

California native Nick Arciniaga won the Star Wars Half Marathon at Disneyland Resort Sunday for the second year in a row.

Arciniaga won in a record 1:05:49 and said in a Disney press release he hopes to go on to compete in the U.S. Olympic Team Trials Marathon in the upcoming weeks.

Annie Bersagel, of Colorado,finished as the female winner with a time of 1:15:09. Bersagel is also set to compete in the upcoming U.S. Olympic Team Trials Marathon.

“I was the fastest stormtrooper out here today,’’ Bersagel joked after her win, clad in Star Wars-inspired running gear.

More than 13,000 athletes participated in the 13.1-mile journey through Disneyland Resort and Anaheim area streets.
