Joy and Sadness coming to Epcot Character Spot

Epcot visitors will soon be able to stroll through long-term memory to meet Joy and Sadness, the emotions central to Disney•Pixar’s “Inside Out.”

It’s all part of the expansion of the Epcot Character Spot in Future World, which already is home to Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Goofy. And nearby, visitors can meet Baymax in a robotics workshop inspired by “Big Hero 6,” which opened in December.

Beginning in April, the Character Spot will welcome visitors to Headquarters, where Joy and Sadness help guide young Riley through life. You’ll also get a look at Riley’s long-term memory and get a glimpse of her Islands of Personality.
