Coach to release special Mickey Mouse collection

Disney and Coach are teaming up for a limited edition collection of Coach leather goods featuring Mickey Mouse.

This is due out on June 17, 2016 as part of the a special series Coach is producing to mark its 75th anniversary, according to a news release from the company.

No word on the prices.

The line will launch at stores in Soho, New York and Colette in Paris and will include “sneakers featuring Coach’s signature hangtag playfully redesigned in the shape of Mickey’s ears.”

The Mickey ear silhouette is also marked out with punky studs on a biker jacket and a frame on a re-edition of an archival Coach bag from the 1960’s ‘the Kisslock’.

In addition, there will be collectible pieces like oversize black leather Mickey dolls and shearling beanbags, the company said.

“Mickey Mouse is one of my earliest memories of American pop – his nostalgic charm, cheekiness, individuality and inherent cool make for the ultimate American icon,” Coach Creative Director Stuart Vevers, said in a news release.
