Make your own Disney art with the new Prisma app

We noticed over the weekend that our Facebook feed was filling up with gorgeous new profile pictures and other art made with a new app: Prisma.

Prisma uses filters that render your photos in the styles of famous artists — Picasso, Van Gogh, Munch, Lichtenstein — and global styles.

If this sounds a lot like other filters you’ve used, it’s not. This app uses a sophisticated combination of neural networks and artificial intelligence to rebuild your image from scratch. Released in June in the Apple app store, Prisma already has more than 1 million daily users. It just arrived for Android this week.

Naturally, we wondered what Picasso or Van Gogh would make of Disney.

We took three pretty standard Magic Kingdom pictures — the train station, Cinderella’s castle lit up for Christmas, and Snow White’s cottage — and ran them through some of the 29 filters available in the app.

Once you apply a filter to your photo, you can adjust your intensity; all of these are 100% intensity.

Take a look at what we came up with, and if you try it, share your images with us. We’d love to see your artistry!
