New details of upcoming Pandora – The World of AVATAR land at Disney World to be released in November

AVATAR creator James Cameron will unveil new details of Pandora – The World of AVATAR land at the Animal Kingdom at Disney World during a special D23 event in November.

Cameron (writer, director, producer) and Jon Landau (producer) will join Imagineer Joe Rohde at the D23 Destination D: Amazing Adventures to talk about what is to come at the new 12-acre land at the D23 event taking place at the Contemporary resort Nov. 19 and 20, 2016 at Disney World.

We already know that two of the rides are the Na’vi River Journey. The water adventure starts with guests venturing down the river in a canoe heading to Pandora. On the way, the canoes passes exact glowing plants and creatures. The journey ends with an encounter with a Na’vi shaman.

The other ride is AVATAR Flight of Passage, the main ride in Pandora where guests will be soaring on a Banshee over an alien world.

The land is supposed to open in 2017.
