Former Disney CEO Bob Iger Honored with Main Street Window at Disneyland

Former Disney CEO Bob Iger received a personalized window on Main Street, U.S.A., at Disneyland on Sunday, joining an elite group of figures permanently commemorated at the theme park.

The dedicated window, positioned above the Emporium entrance in Town Square, designates Iger as the “Chief Architect for New Century Builders.” It features the motto “Looking forward to your tomorrow!” alongside descriptors summarizing his tenure, including “courageous,” “confidence,” “excellence,” “innovation,” “curiosity,” and “optimism.”

The honor, bestowed by The Walt Disney Company, is among the highest distinctions given to individuals who have made historic contributions to the brand.

“I stand here with a deep sense of wonder and humility and appreciation and gratitude for having the opportunity not just to work for the company that Walt Disney founded, but to run the company that he founded,” Iger said at the unveiling. “This is more than a dream come true. It’s actually not even a dream come true, because I never could have dreamed this was possible.”

Disney CEO Josh D’Amaro and Mickey Mouse attended the ceremony, which included a performance by the Dapper Dans barbershop quartet singing “There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow.”

D’Amaro credited Iger with guiding Disney through major growth periods while maintaining ties to its heritage.

“He honored our past while always keeping his eye on the future,” D’Amaro said. “The Disney they love today exists because of his vision, his leadership, and his deep respect for the people who bring this place to life.”

Main Street window credits have served as Disneyland’s equivalent of closing film credits since the park opened on July 17, 1955, reserving space for leaders, artists, and executives who shaped the company’s trajectory.
