Hocus Pocus show celebrates spooky fun at Magic Kingdom
For over a decade now, the “Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular” show has been a highlight of the Halloween season at Magic Kingdom, and it’s back again to bewitch audiences at Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.
Since its debut in 2015, the show has become a fan favorite, continuing the story of the beloved 1993 film “Hocus Pocus” as the Sanderson Sisters return for a night of mischievous mayhem to create the ultimate party potion.
Winifred, Mary, and Sarah Sanderson have enlisted the help of some of Disney’s most notorious villains to assist with their wicked plan.
The show features appearances from a host of frightful friends, including Dr. Facilier, Oogie Boogie, and Maleficent, who each contribute a key ingredient to the potion. Other villains, such as the Evil Queen, Hades, Cruella De Vil, Jafar, Captain Hook, and Lady Tremaine, also make an appearance, much to the delight of the crowd.
In addition to the ghoulish cast, the performance includes spooky musical numbers that fans will recognize, like “I Put a Spell on You” and “Come Little Children.” The show also features renditions of “Season of the Witch,” “Friends on the Other Side,” and “Oogie Boogie’s Song.”
Ten years after debuting the “Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular” remains a cornerstone of the Halloween festivities at Magic Kingdom and the best stage show of the year. It continues to put a spell on me.
