2025 Springtime Surprise weekend run maps, road closures
The runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend returns to Walt Disney World Resort this week, April 3-6, 2025. There are three different races taking place, a 5K,10K, or 10-Miler, and we have the maps and road closures coming for the runDisney event.
This event kicked off at Disney World in 2022. This is the only running event at Disney World that does not include a half marathon event. This race contains a 5K, 10K or 10-Miler, and a Challenge that combines all three races for a total of 19.3 miles. There’s even a morning yoga session to kick off the weekend stretch and prepare runners for the journey. Upon completing the races, runners earn a one-of-a-kind themed medal for each race run. Complete all three races and take home a fourth Challenge medal.
Springtime Surprise 5K, Friday, April 4
Start off the race weekend feeling like an honorary Guardian of the Galaxy as you blast off on a galactic 3.1-mile adventure hosted by Groot and his interstellar allies.
Springtime Surprise 10K, Saturday April 5
Go from mile zero to hero to show off the herculean magnitude of your strength…and the strength of your heart…in 6.2 miles during the Hercules 10K featuring familiar friends from Disney Animations’ Hercules.
Springtime Surprise 10-Miler, Sunday April 6
End the race weekend by showing the world how super you are in just 10 miles alongside Mrs. Incredible, Mr. Incredible and Frozone from Disney Pixar’s The Incredibles. Just remember… no capes!
