Moana 2 topiary steals the show at EPCOT’s Flower & Garden Festival
You walk into EPCOT, ready to immerse yourself in the vibrant colors and fragrant blooms of the 2025 Flower & Garden Festival. And what’s the first breathtaking sight that greets you? A stunning Moana topiary flower and garden display.
This new Moana topiary display brings enormous artistry and detail that Disney pours into this beloved annual event. The Moana 2 topiary bed is a showstopper, capturing the spirit of adventure and the lush beauty of her world.
The EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival is a topiary wonderland, boasting nearly 100 meticulously crafted displays, from beloved Disney characters to intricate geometric forms. It’s a feast for the eyes, a living art gallery that evolves throughout the growing season in the spring. This year’s festival runs through June 2.
A closer look reveals the artistry behind these living sculptures. On the left, Maui stands proud, a powerful topiary rendition of the boastful demigod. His tattooed form and the iconic fishhook, heavy with ancient carvings, are masterfully captured. Notice how the beacon of magic, the fishhook glows with light after dusk in the Moana topiary flower garden.

Maui’s tattoos in Moana are animated and depict his life and accomplishments as a demigod, including creating breezes, coconut palms, and lassoing the sun to extend daylight. A mini-Maui tattoo represents his conscience.

Next, we come to the sidekicks, Pua the pig and Heihei the rooster, who accompany Moana on her journey.
Heihei, the dim-witted rooster who stows away on Moana’s canoe in the first movie and joins her on her quest, is known for his clumsiness and occasional helpfulness. Pua, Moana’s loyal and supportive pig companion, is often seen as a source of comfort and comic relief in the Moana topiary flower garden.

And finally, to Moana herself.
