Closing date announced for Jellyrolls on the BoardWalk

A closing date has been announced for Jellyrolls on Disney’s BoardWalk after nearly 30 years at its current location.

The company announced the final day of operation will be on April 19. The company said it would relocate to another location in Orlando. Disney has not made any announcements about the closure.

Jellyrolls, a popular piano bar at Walt Disney World Resort, offers a lively and entertaining experience for both locals and Disney enthusiasts. The dueling pianos are the centerpiece, with talented pianists taking turns showcasing their skills. Guests are encouraged to sing along, adding to the fun and interactive atmosphere. The pianists welcome song requests, playing a diverse range of music from classics like Billy Joel to contemporary hits like Taylor Swift.

The closure is another change coming to Disney’s BoardWalk. In 2022, the ESPN Club was closed, and then it took two years for renovation into The Cake Bake Shop, which opened in October 2024.

Then, on Jan. 22, 2024, Disney’s Big River Grille & Brewing Works permanently closed. The American-style restaurant served burgers, steaks, nachos, and more, and it brewed its own brand of beer on-site. No announcement has been made on what might take over the space, which remains empty.

And now, the closure of Jellyrolls will mean a larger empty space on the BoardWalk. If Disney is planning on re-imagining what the BoardWalk will be like, they might want to make an announcement soon, as the area will mirror soon mirror many boardwalks around the nation filled with large empty storefronts.
