Closing date announced for Muppet*Vision 3D at Disney World
We’ve been waiting for the announcement and now the date has been set the closing date for Muppet*Vision 3D. The attraction will close on June 7, 2025 to make way for the changeover in Disney’s Hollywood Studios to Monsters Inc. land.
Disney previously announced that the Muppets and the entire area of Grand Avenue will be closed for Monsters Inc. land which will include Disney’s first-ever suspended coaster in which guests will be riding alongside suspended doors, just like in the original movie. There is also rumors that there will be a restaurant as well, possibly based on Harryhausen’s, a Japanese restaurant that is notoriously hard to get a reservation to. I
To make room for this area, Disney announced today that the Grand Avenue area will begin a phase closing as follows:
May 10: The Last day to dine at Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano.
June 7: The last day to experience Muppet*Vision 3D and PizzeRizzo, these will be closed effective June 8.
Disney has previously announced t the Muppets will be taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, teaming up with some of music’s biggest stars for a rockin’ music festival. This will be the first Disney ride ever to feature The Muppets. No date has been announced on when the changeover for the roller coaster will take place.
