Kali River Rapids to close in January 2025 for winter refurbishment

Disney’s Animal Kingdom’s Kali River Rapids, known for its guaranteed soaking, will temporarily close for refurbishment starting Jan. 6, 2025, and is expected to reopen sometime in March, according to Disney.

Winter is the normal time Disney takes the ride down for work to be done as the temperatures dip \Earlier this year, the ride was closed from Jan. 8 to March 15.  

Located in the Asia section of the park, Kali River Rapids is a thrilling white-water rapids ride that immerses guests in a watery adventure while delivering an important message about the dangers of deforestation.
