Blast off delayed: Astro Orbiter closing for lengthy refurbishment

The Astro Orbiter that lets you soar over Magic Kingdom will close in January for lengthy refurbishment, Disney announced.

The Tomorrowland attraction will close beginning Jan. 13, 2025 and planned to reopen in the summer of 2025, the Walt Disney World website states.

No announcements have been made on what will be done to the attraction during its closure. Disney normally takes rides down for extended periods to when they want to do extensive work on the attraction.
