Photos: Mickey’s Christmastime Parade updated in 2024

The refrain remains the same – “Once Upon a Christmastime at Christmas” – but Disney has made some changes to the soundtrack of the 2024 edition of Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade and some minor changes throughout the parade.

Since 2007, when this version of the parade was introduced to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, the parade has evolved with different characters and music being played, always bridged with the Once Upon a Christmastime at Christmas song.

Here’s a look at this year’s parade and some changes – we will have video highlights coming shortly.

The first change we see is the addition of a new banner announcing the parade. Why they haven’t gone with a small snowflake float with electric lights announcing the parade, I don’t know. But this keeps it simple.

In addition the frst soundtrack chage takes place. Instead of “Have Yourself a Very Merry Christmas” the parade kicks off with the 1958 Disney song “From All of Us to All of You,” from the TV special with the same name.

The next musical change comes with the Frozen floats. Gone are some standards like “Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!” to “That Time of Year” from Olaf’s Frozen Adventures. In addition, the group of men with ice picks with Anna and Kristoff have been replaced by townspeople carrying presents.

As the Princesses arrive so does new music. In the past it the music was “Silver and Gold,” and “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year” have not changed to “The Holly and the Ivy” and “Waltz of the Flowers” from “The Nutcracker.”

The final portion of the parade, Santa’s Workshop had not only some musical changes, but slight changes in personnel. The music added this year is “Upon On the Housetop” and “We Wish You a Merry Christmas.” This year also lacked the “Santa’s Workshop” small float that announced the section.
