Disney World My Disney Experience app updated for new Genie+
Disney updated its My Disney Experience app just days before the new Lightning Lane Multi-Pass System goes into effect on July 24. Guests should be receiving a prompt from the app when they log in to update the app.
The newest release on the My Disney Experience app impacts the Tip Board and it will be able to tell you if you are eligible to:
- Move between Disney World theme parks on the same day.
- Choose a lighting Lane arrival window for select attractions
- Make Individual Lighting Lane purchases.
Remember, this is for the Lightning Lanes, which you pay for separately. The Lightning Lane Multi-Pass replaces the Disney Genie+ service. This pass allows you to choose among a large number of attractions. The Lightning Lane Single Pass will replace individual “à la carte” Lightning Lane entry for select rides.
You will have the option to do the following:
- Choose not to purchase Lighting Lane Multi-Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass and just use StandBy Lines and Virtual Queues.
- Purchase Lightning Lane Multi-Pass without purchasing any Lightning Lane Single Passes.
Here is our complete guide on how to use the new Lightning Lan Multi-Pass system.
