Update: Lightning Lane purchases for Canada guests in advance

Good news for Canadian guests. Disney has now confirmed that guests visiting Disney World from Canada can now purchase Lightning Lane selections in advance when the new Lightning Lane Multi-Pass system goes into effect on July 28.

Unfortunately, other international guests will still not be able to purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass or Lightning Lane Single Pass before arriving in the United States.

The change in information, means Canadian guests who are staying at a Disney World Resort hotel can reserve Lightning Lane passes up to seven days before their stay begins. They can then book advance Lightning Lane passes for their entire trip up to 14 days. Canadian guests who are not staying at an eligible Walt Disney World Resort hotel will be able to make their reservations up to three days before their trip like U.S. citizens.

Now, if an international guest uses a U.S.-based travel agent, that travel agent would be able to help since the agent can access your My Disney Experience account and make your Lightning Lane selections in advance of your trip.
