Meet Lari the Armadillo on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
The new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom has nearly 20 critters in the attraction, most are musicians. But there is one who pops up through the ride – Lari the Armadillo – and we are finally getting some background on this
The nine-banded armadillo pops up three times on the attraction once at the beginning, once after the big drip and in the final large set piece.
Who is Lari the Armadillo?
This jack-of-all-trades and fabulous raconteur can usually find anything before you know you need it. According to Disney, “Lari is usually found on the outskirts of New Orleans. He’s a ‘junk-man’ and builds things with his treasures. He may have helped his fellow critters find or construct their instruments simply by sharing what he’s found. They never know what Lari’s next move is, and he tells everyone a different story of how he lost his eye (and he also switches his eye patch)!
Where to Spot Lari
Lari can be first spotted on the left side of the log flume at the garden, it looks like he’s doing his own shopping.
On the way to Tiana’s party, after the big drop, guests will spot Lari again. This time on the right side. He’s holding his Second Line umbrella, constructed from found natural and human-made objects.
Lari is also found in the final scene at the big party Tiana is hosting.
