Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade closing date set, DVC Lounge Takes Aim
The Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade in Magic Kingdom will close at the end of the day on June 23 and eventually turn it into a new Disney Vacation Club member lounge.
Disney has confirmed that construction is slated to begin later this year, and details on the lounge’s design and amenities will be revealed at a later date.
The Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade, a staple of the park since its opening day in 1971, offers guests the chance to test their marksmanship with infrared rifles against targets themed around the Wild West. However, the attraction transitioned to a complimentary offering in 2021, accessible to all park guests.
This move signifies Disney’s continued expansion of exclusive offerings for Disney Vacation Club members. These memberships provide access to a network of Disney resorts and vacation ownership benefits, including access to dedicated lounges throughout the resort.
The new lounge will join existing member-only spaces like the recently revamped Top of the World Lounge at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and the Imagination! pavilion lounge at EPCOT.
