EPCOT’s ‘Portraits of Courage’ honors veterans in heartfelt exhibit

As the nation gears up for Fourth of July fireworks and celebrations, EPCOT at Walt Disney World Resort is offering a powerful and moving tribute to the heroes who defend our freedom.

“Portraits of Courage: A Commander’s Tribute to America’s Warriors” opened on June 9 and will run for a year within The American Adventure pavilion. It offers a deeply personal look at the sacrifices and triumphs of America’s post-9/11 veterans.

Curated by former President George W. Bush, the exhibit is more than just a collection of portraits. It’s a heartfelt and inspiring exploration of the strength and resilience of America’s veterans. Don’t miss this opportunity to connect with the stories of these brave men and women.

The photos line the rotunda walls. It is a stunning and emotional exhibit. The more than 60 full-color portraits painted by President Bush of service members and veterans who have served the nation with honor since 9/11, and whom the President has come to know personally since leaving office.

As guests walk through the exhibit, they will encounter the faces and the hearts of those who answered the nation’s call and learn of their bravery on the battlefield, their journey to recovery and the continued leadership and contributions they make as civilians.

The one thing that is missing, is the ability to purchase the book at the Art of Disney store outside the American Adventure. I would have loved to be able to take the book home and read some of the stories.

Here is a link to purchase the book Portraits of Courage: A Commander in Chief’s Tribute to America’s Warriors.

(We do get some compensation if you purchase items from some of the links.  Here’s our full disclosure.)
