Disney releases full ride POV of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

In an unusual move, just days before previews begin for the new Tiana’s Bayou Adventure ride at Magic Kingdom and a month before the official opening on June 28, Disney released a full ride POV video of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

Whether Disney is releasing this to subvert the need for numerous influencers and bloggers to shoot video on the ride, while annoying other guests (my personal theory), or to prepare guests as to what to expect, since there has been so much angst over replacing the Splash Mountain theme, we can now all share the experience.

A quick look at the video shows riders heading into the bayou searching for a band for a celebration. A clever section of the ride has Mama Odie shrinking you down to the size of a frog as you search for musicians.

The earworm for this ride is going to be “Going down the bayou” so be prepared to be singing this as you get off the ride.

The music throughout the ride keeps you – for lack of a better word – hopping. As old favorites and new songs mix throughout the attraction, it is a lively musical experience.

As you head to the big drop, Mama Odie makes you big again, “because the bigger you are, the bigger the splash.”

This looks to be a lot of fun and on a summer day or night, a place to keep cool.

Also, keep your eyes our for all the Easter eggs, including the frog versions of Naveen and Tiana and a sign that says “Welcome to all who come to this happy place,” which is what Walt Disney said during the opening of Disneyland.
