Video, Photos: Disney World provides first look of new drone show

Walt Disney World Resort is sharing a sneak peek of “Disney Dreams that Soar Presented by AT&T,” a new, nighttime drone show coming to Disney Springs. Running from May 24 to Sept. 2.

This innovative experience is the first of several new limited-time entertainment offerings debuting this summer at Walt Disney World Resort.

The footage is from a recent test session in France that shows how the skies over Disney Springs will come alive with larger-than-life images of classic Disney characters through the use of 800 state-of-the-art drones choreographed with iconic quotes from fan-favorite films such as Disney’s “Peter Pan,” “Dumbo,” “Wall-E,” “Big Hero 6,” “Star Wars” and more.

The show will also feature scores from beloved Disney soundtracks and an original song composed exclusively for this show. The nine-minute display will be shown twice each night above Disney Springs, offering the perfect ending to a day of shopping, activities and dining.

Showtimes will vary. The latest schedule is available on DisneySprings.com.
