runDisney Virtual series for the summer is Marvel themed
When the 4th annual runDisney Virtual Series kicks off this summer it will be celebrating 80 Years of Marvel with three different Marvel-themed 5Ks you can complete at home.
The virtual series encourages participants to run, jog or walk, to complete one 5K each month over the summer, whether it is on a treadmill, around the neighborhood, or other locations.
The event is held from June 1 through Aug. 31, 2019, with registration opening on May 7 at 10 a.m. ET on the runDisney.com site.
You can sign up for one or all three 5K events. You receive a participation medal for each. If you finish all three you then get a fourth Challenge medal. The medals will be debuted soon.
The themes for the 2019 runDisney Virtual Series include:
- Virtual June 5K – Captain Marvel
- Virtual July 5K – Iron Man
- Virtual August 5K – Black Panther
- Challenge – Marvel 80th Anniversary
This is the first time all three of the Marvel characters have been represented in the Virtual Shorts series.
