Signs are up, ride testing is taking place, and anticipation is growing for the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom. Rumors are going strong that it might be ready for testing by the Cast Members soon.
The attraction is set to open this summer, no specific date has yet been announced, but there are rumors that it might open in June or July, which makes sense since this is a water ride. The story of the ride will pick up where the film left off as guests join Princess Tiana and jazz-loving alligator Louis on an adventure down the bayou as they prepare to host a one-of-a-kind celebration during Mardi Gras season where everyone is welcome. Along the way, guests will encounter familiar faces, make new friends and travel through the bayou to original music inspired by songs from the film.
Here’s a walk around the mountain:
At the top of the 52-foot climatic drop on the flume ride, we can see the bottles hanging similar to those bottles you would find on Moma Odie’s Tree.
There are signs out that testing is taking place.
We see a sign below placed on the ride welcoming families to the celebration.
From Zydeco to Rara to Afro-Cuban jazz, you’ll hear all kinds of musical flavors from critters big and small around the bayou, just like you would walking the streets of the French Quarter in the Crescent City.
Around the back you can see the large mural and work taking place on the queue.
The Disneyland version will open later. Walt Disney World’s Splash Mountain closed on Jan. 23, 2023, while Disneyland’s Splash Mountain closed on May 31, 2023.
