Cast-to-Guest pin trading to return fully at Disney World in April
The revival of the beloved tradition of Cast-to-Guest pin trading at the entire Disney World resort will commence starting April 7, 2024, Disney announced today.
This announcement marks the rekindling of a cherished pastime that holds a special place in the hearts of Disney enthusiasts worldwide.
Pin trading, a cherished interaction between Guests and Cast Members, had been temporarily suspended for over three years in response to the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, with the gradual easing of safety protocols and the resumption of normalcy, Disney World is poised to reignite this beloved practice.
The revival of pin trading initially commenced at Disney Springs in November 2023, where Cast Members resumed the tradition by engaging with guests using the familiar pin-covered lanyards .This reintroduction at Disney Springs served as a precursor to the forthcoming reinstatement of pin trading across the entire resort.
Throughout the hiatus, pin enthusiasts had the opportunity to engage in limited pin trading activities at designated trading boards located in various locales within Walt Disney World. These included Pin Traders at Disney Springs and select merchandise outlets scattered throughout the resort, albeit in a restricted capacity.
