Animal Kingdom to celebrate 30 years of “The Lion King” this summer

Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme is set to unleash a wild celebration from June 10 to Sept. 6 in honor of the 30th anniversary of “The Lion King” animated film.

The festivities will span the entire park, offering guests an immersive experience reminiscent of the beloved movie. Alongside the jubilation, a brand-new merchandise collection will be available, allowing fans to embrace the iconic Disney’s Animal Kingdom stage show, “Festival of The Lion King.”

A new Pumbaa popcorn bucket will be released to hold your grub—ah, popcorn, that is. Other special menu offerings will also be available during the summer.

For those seeking a carefree lifestyle akin to “Hakuna Matata,” Rafiki’s Planet Watch invites guests to reunite with Timon and Rafiki. Scheduling cuddle sessions or seeking wisdom on bug hunting is made effortless with My Disney Experience.
