Photos, Video: 2023 Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade
Twice nightly during Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party the streets around the Magic Kindom are filled with dancing gingerbread men, Disney characters, prancing reindeer and toy soldiers marching along the Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade route.
The magical scene is heightened by the chorus “Once upon a Christmastime at Christmas” as Disney characters from Fantasyland lead off the parade.
Those not going to the party will have a chance to see the parade in person during Christmas week, as it will replace the Festival of Fantasy Parade.
Here’s a look at the parade and some of our favorite moments from the holiday season:
Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse follow on the parade’s Christmas tree.
As part of the Frozen contingent, Olaf stands on a float followed by Elsa.
Vanellope von Schweetz leads the candy section of the parade followed by cooks Chip and Dale, and Clarice in front of the candy shop, followed by gingerbread men and Clarabelle Cow making cookies.
Candy Cane dancers lead Goofy, who is riding a top the candy machine float.
The Seven Dwarfs then come down the parade route leading the Disney Princesses.
Snow White and The Prince dance their way down the parade route.
Cinderella and Prince Charming follow in a carriage.
Belle and the Beast, Prince Eric and Ariel and the other royal couples follow.
The Fairy Godmother oversees the royal couples.
A toy box leads the next section of the parade with Toy Story Green Men and Woody, Buzz, Jesse, Bo-Peep and Bullseye.
The famed Toy Soldiers then march down the route of Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade.
Lastly, the prancing reindeer led the way for Santa Claus and the end of Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade.
