How the Disneyland Hotel 60th anniversary cake was made

The Disneyland Hotel celebrated its 60th anniversary on Oct. 5, 2015 and like any birthday a cake was made.

The scale model cake was handmade by four Disneyland Resort pastry chefs. It took four days to build the cake and it consists of the following:

15 pounds of fondant
10 pounds of white chocolate
4 full sheet cakes of vanilla with vanilla custard filling
3 crisped rice treats measuring 18x22x2
2 pounds of pastillage
1 pound of piping gel
