Debut date announced for Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away parade
Disney has announced that the new nighttime parade, Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away, will debut July 20 at Magic Kingdom.
The new nighttime parade will transport “guests into the stories of our beloved Disney characters. Through the power of the Blue Fairy’s magic, you’ll watch dreams and wishes come true. As the lights dance from float to float, you’ll see favorite classic and contemporary characters from Walt Disney Animation Studios and Disney Pixar films, some for the very first time in a Disney Live Entertainment nighttime parade!” according to Disney.
A new theme was written for the parade that “embodies all the majestic and fantasy feelings you get watching a parade come down Main Street, U.S.A.” with some surprises that may sound familiar to Disney fans, Disney said.
From the moment the Blue Fairy’s magic wand lights up the night, dreams will come to life with an enchanting order of floats with these character:
- The Blue Fairy
- Peter Pan & Wendy
- Asha
- La Familia Madrigal (Mirabel, Isabela, Bruno)
- Elsa
- Aurora and Prince Phillip, Tiana and Prince Naveen, Belle and the Beast, and Cinderella and Prince Charming
- Moana
- Goofy, Pluto, Donald Duck and Daisy Duck,Snow White and Dopey, Rapunzel and Flynn Rider, Aladdin and Jasmine, and Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse
