One of the best queues created by Disney is in Disneyland

Standing in line at a Disney park isn’t typically a favorite activity, considering it often involves slow progression for an hour or more. To address this, Disney has designed queues to captivate visitors and has integrated interactive games into their park apps. However, one of the most exceptional queue experiences that makes time fly can be found within Disneyland.

This particular queue stands out due to its focus on one of Disney’s most cherished characters: Mickey Mouse. Nestled within Mickey’s Toontown, specifically at the El CapiTOON Theater within Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, this local theater is gearing up for the premiere of the new film “Perfect Picnic.”

Fueled by the excitement surrounding this event, Minnie collaborated with the Toontown Hysterical Society to curate an exhibition within the attraction’s queue. Referred to as the “Mickey Through the Ears” exhibit, this display was conceived by Walt Disney Imagineering to allow guests a walk-through experience of Mickey Mouse’s evolution. Spanning from the black-and-white era of “Steamboat Willie” to the contemporary stylized Mickey Mouse cartoon shorts, this journey is encapsulated within the exhibit.

Within the queue, visitors encounter iconic props, costumes, and set pieces that highlight the various phases of Mickey’s extensive career. At every turn, vibrant props catch the eye, complemented by informative signs that provide insight into the exhibit. This setup not only encourages guests to take the time to learn about Mickey’s history but also presents numerous photo opportunities around each corner.

Let’s take a tour:
