3 more Disneyland restaurants will be serving alcohol

Starting on Sept. 12, three more Disneyland restaurants wll be adding wine, beer and specialty cocktails for the first time.

This marks the first time that alcoholic beverages will be served at Carnation Café, River Belle Terrace, and Café Orleans. The changes come as the three restaurants will also be introducing new menus

Currently, only the Blue Bayou and Oga’s Cantina serve alcohol to the public. Club 33, a private club has been serving alcohol for sometime. I

Alcohol started being served in public restuarants when Oga’s Cantina opened at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge on May 31, 2019. On May 28, 2021, Blue Bayou became the second restaurant to serve alcohol at Disneyland.

Guests will only be able to drink while inside the restaurant, they will not be allowed to take them alcohol outside the restaurant. In 2018, Disney CEO Bob Iger addressed the idea of introducing alcohol to Disneyland. When mentioned that Walt did specifically say no booze at Disneyland, Iger said that while a big believer in tradition, “This just seemed like one of those traditions that if we changed it the empire wasn’t gonna crumble.”
