Disney purchased the land and wanted to build this house for his expectant wife. Architect Frank Crowhurst designed the house and the family moved in 1932. This is the childhood homes of the Disney daughters, Diane and Sharon. Disney was living here as he launched his animated feature films.
Disney would take his daughters on Saturdays to nearby Griffith Park to ride the Merry-Go-Round which inspired him to create Disneyland. In 1950, the Disney family moved to the Carolwood Drive estate.
