Tiara-topped water tower installed at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
Overnight Walt Disney Imagineering installed the tiara-topped water tower that will be the centerpiece for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Magic Kingdom.
This marks the start of the exterior transformation, according to Disney Imagineering and it is the biggest guest-facing show set put up so far.
The attraction, scheduled to open in 2024 at Magic Kingdom will take guests on a musical adventure inspired by the beloved story and characters from the fan-favorite film “The Princess and the Frog.”
On top of the water tower is a tiara with two stars representing Ray, the Cajun firefly, and his romantic infatuation Evangeline – the evening star.
The story of the ride will pick up where the film left off as guests join Princess Tiana and jazz-loving alligator Louis on an adventure down the bayou as they prepare to host a one-of-a-kind celebration during Mardi Gras season where everyone is welcome. Along the way, guests will encounter familiar faces, make new friends and travel through the bayou to original music inspired by songs from the film.
Tiana has taken over the large old salt mine and created her own restaurant Tiana’s Foods.
