Photos: Transforming Splash Mounain into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

Workers are not only redesigning the interior of what was Splash Mountain into Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, but as guests walk into Frontierland that also see how the exterior of the mountain is being altered.

Scaffolding surrounds the exterior as altertations are being made to the rock face and updates being made to the log flume track. The familiar hollow tree stump on top of the attraction is gone. Later this summer, a tiara-topped water tower emblazoned with the Tiana’s Foods logo will make its way to the attraction, even though the updated ride will not open until 2024.

The story will pick up where the film left off as guests join Princess Tiana and jazz-loving alligator Louis on an adventure down the bayou as they prepare to host a one-of-a-kind celebration during Mardi Gras season where everyone is welcome. Along the way, guests will encounter familiar faces, make new friends and travel through the bayou to original music inspired by songs from the film.
