Cinderella Castle almost clear of 50th-anniversary decorations

It’s now been a month and a half since the Walt Disney World 50th-anniversary celebration has ended, and the golden embellishments that adorned Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom have started to bid farewell.

The iconic decorations that marked the 50th anniversary are gradually being dismantled. The water around the castle has been drained to allow equipment to come in and take down the decorations. Gone are the 50th-anniversary medallion and the royal blue jewel with gold detailing bunting around the castle. Remaining on the castle are a few ribbons on top of the turrets. These should be taken down in the next few days.

There is some anticipation of light painting touchups, but the castle will remain the current color scheme.
