Mirabel, Casa Madrigal courtyard coming to Magic Kingdom this fall
One part of the major announcements Disney made today includes a meet and greet with Maribel from movie “Encanto.”
The area where guests met Merida at the Magic Kingdom is being transformed for Maribel and is expected to be open this fall.
The area is being transformed into a fairy tale garden, Tom Vazzana, Director of Creative Development Disney Live Entertainment at Walt Disney World said.
The garden area is designed to match the Casa Madrigal. :We’ve designed this casita with the filmmakers to be almost identical to the courtyard in the film. Every detail has been looked at to make sure we’re authentic to the wonderful musical film and content. While you’re waiting to greet Maribel, you’ll be surrounded with the music of the film,” Vezzana said.
During the meeting “Maribel will talk with you about her family, her culture and everything authentic to Colombia,” he said.
