What to watch on Disney+ in February 2022

February on Disney+ original features the finale of a “The Book of Boba Fett,” making of features of Marvel’s “Hawkeye” and “Eternals,” and the premiere of more Mickey Mouse shorts and “The Proud Family.”

There is also the premiere of Ryan Reynolds’s “Free Guy” and the critically acclaimed film “Torn” from National Geographic.

The streaming service is also premiering other Disney, Pixar, Star Wars and Marvel and 20th Century films and series.

“The Book of Boba Fett,” a thrilling Star Wars adventure teased in a surprise end-credit sequence following the Season 2 finale of “The Mandalorian,” finds legendary bounty hunter Boba Fett and mercenary Fennec Shand navigating the galaxy’s underworld when they return to the sands of Tatooine to stake their claim on the territory once ruled by Jabba the Hutt and his crime syndicate.

Never Been Kissed – A 1999 American romantic comedy film starring Drew Barrymore, Jessica Alba, David Arquette, Michael Vartan, Leelee Sobieski, Jeremy Jordan, Molly Shannon, Garry Marshall, John C. Reilly and James Franco in his film debut.

Torn – On Oct. 5, 1999, legendary climber Alex Lowe was tragically lost alongside cameraman and fellow climber David Bridges in a deadly avalanche on the slopes of the Tibetan mountain, Shishapangma. Miraculously surviving the avalanche was Alex’s best friend and climbing partner, renowned mountaineer Conrad Anker. After the tragedy, Anker and Alex’s widow, Jennifer, fell in love and married, and Anker stepped in to help raise Alex’s three sons. Torn will deliver a profoundly intimate look at the Lowe-Anker family using never-before-released archival footage of the ill-fated 1999 expedition, early footage of Alex and Anker as young climbers, personal home videos and strikingly candid interviews with the Lowe-Ankers, the film will follow Max in his quest to understand his iconic late father as he explores family’s complex relationships in the wake of his father’s death. 

Real Black Panther – This isn’t Wakanda. Deep in south India is a jungle kingdom that has inspired legends. Kabini, in the Nagarhole Tiger Reserve, is home to a rogue confederation of animal tribes all vying for territory, power and resources. Now a new king, Saya, is on the rise. He is the only black panther in this jungle

Snow Dogs – When Miami dentist Ted Brooks (Cuba Gooding Jr.) finds out that he’s been named in a will, he travels to Alaska to claim his inheritance. Once he gets there, however, his dreams turn to mush: he discovers he’s been left a mischievous team of sled dogs — who have got it in for him. Making matters even worse is the crusty mountain man Thunder Jack (James Coburn), who’s also got it in for the city slicker. Wanting to claim the dogs for himself, Jack urges Ted to hotfoot it back to warmer climates.
