Expedition Everest reopening on April 16 after lengthy refurbishment

The lengthy refurbishment is over. Expedition Everest at Disney’s Animal Kingdom will reopen on April 16, according to Disney’s website.

The roller coaster has been closed since Jan. 4, 2022, for refurbishment. It was not announced what work was done on the attraction.

When it returns it will be offered as a Disney Genie+ option through at least August 7, 2022, instead of as an Individual Lightning Lane purchase.
