Soarin’ Around the World will open at Disneyland and Disney World on June 17, 2016

The newly refurbished Soarin’ Around the World ride will open at Disneyland and Disney World on June 17, 2016 Disney has announced.

The original Soarin’ was a flight simulator ride over California. Riders watching an Imax type movie flew over major California sites. The new Soarin’ Around the World, will take riders above the Great wall of China, Sydney Harbor in Australia and even the Matterhorn in Switzerland, Disney said.

There are more than a dozen location being featured. The show will premiere on June 16, 2016 at Shanghai Disneyland, but will be called Soarin’ Over the Horizon.
