Why Totally Tomorrowland Christmas is the best Christmas show at Disney World
Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is filled with a lot of entertainment, attractions with holiday overlays, a parade and fireworks, but the most wonderful show of all involves Stitch.
Away from the main stage in the Magic Kingdom in front of Cinderella Castle, tucked in a corner of Tomorrowland is the Rockettower Plaza Stage. It’s here where host Haley Comet takes all on on this intergalactic musical revue with songs such “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” and “Jingle Bells.”
It features Buzz Lightyear, a number of holiday one-liners from Mile Wazowski and of course some great comic lines from Stitch.
When Haley Comet tries to explain Santa Claus to Stitch — “he sees you when you’re sleeping, he knows when you’re awake — Stitch responds: “Santa spy on kids? And breaks into house? Santa makes a list?” Stitch says. “Santa sounds like a snitch.”
Stitch tries to catch Santa and bring him to the show, but the “the reindeer are too fast.”
Sure Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration on the main stage has more characters, songs and some pyrotechnics, the fireworks are special and the parade is – well it’s a parade.
But what makes the A Totally Tomorrowland Christmas very special is that it’s intimate, you’re able to get very close to the stage to see the the cast. It also has a lot of familiar tunes that allows you to sing out loud. And the most wonderful thing of all – Santa Stitch.
