Disney World expands mobile food ordering to 20 restaurants
Disney World has expanded its mobile food ordering program to 20 quick service restaurants, recently adding offerings at Hollywood Studios.
Through the mobile ordering on the My Disney Experience app guests can bypass the line to order when they arrive at the restaurant. You can elect menu items, customize the order and pre-pay for your meal. When you arrive at the restaurant you tap an “I’m here” button in the app, which will notify the kitchen to prepare the meal. When ready, you then receive an alert through the app to pick up the meal at a designated window.
The drawbacks continue to be that the you can only pay with a credit card and can not use the Dining Plan and do not get any discounts. Hopefully that will soon follow, now that the My Disney Experience app has been updated to keep track of your dining plan.
