H20+, Disney’s in-room bath products provider, closing down
H20+, the company that has been providing bath amenities at all Disney resorts and on the Disney Cruise Line since 2006 is “retiring the brand” at the end of 2022, the company announced on its website.
The shampoo, conditioner, body wash and bath soap was one of the things that makes you feel like you are staying on Disney property. People have taken these items home and used them to relive the feeling that they are on vacation.
They were so popular that the items were available from their websites and on Amazon. The products will be available on Amazon while supplies last.
No announcement has yet been made by Disney on the replacement.
H2O Plus was founded in 1989, by Cindy Melk, who started her own company and was acquired in 2011 by Japanese beauty care company Pola Orbis.
The profitability of the company was touch and do for a while. By 2015, “series of ownership and leadership changes, lack of product innovation, increased competition in the natural skin care space and the closing of almost all of its branded stores have cost it business,” according to the Chicago Tribune.
