Belgium marketplace open for breakfast at Food & Wine Festival

Most of the festival marketplaces at this year’s EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival open at 11 a.m. but one is opening early and serving up some delicious Belgian Waffles.

The Belgium marketplace is opening at 8:30 a.m. daily serving Belgian Waffles with one of two toppings – either Warm Chocolate Ganache or Berry Compote and Whipped Cream. Both versions are delicious and each are $5. The waffle is the size of a coaster and the toppings are yummy. Be aware that in the heat even the whipped cream will start to melt fast.

For a drink, the booth is offering Chilled Mocha Coffee, some cold brew coffee with milk, chocolate and sugar, also for $5.

If you’re looking to give the coffee a little kick (and you are 21 or older) there is an alcoholic option featuring Godiva Chocolate Liqueur. And yes, you can get it as early as 8:30 a.m.

The Belgium marketplace is located between France and Morocco slightly behind the Brazil marketplace.

Disney World debuted one new Global Marketplace among the 29 food booths announced for the 2022 EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival this year.

The festival, which runs July 14 through Nov. 19., will see all but five of the marketplaces open when the festival begins. The remaining marketplaces will open on Aug. 15.
