Guardians of the Galaxy ride will use virtual queue, paid Individual Lightning Lane

There will be no standby queue when the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind attraction opened on May 27. Guests will either be used to join a virtual queue or purchase individual Lighting Lane for entry, Disney announced.

The virtual queue was used when Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance opened.

Each Guest can enter the virtual queue no more than once per day. Lightning Lane entry purchase will also be limited in availability, Disney said.

There is no indication as of yet, what the price for the Individual Lightning Lane will be, but it most likely will be on the higher end, such as $15, similar to Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. The prices for Individual Lightning Lanes do fluctuate throughout the year.

The virtual queue is something Disney has been using when opening new high-profile attractions. It was used for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance at Hollywood Studios and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in EPCOT. In the case of Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, the virtual queue transformed to a standby line after three months.
