Terry Crews will appear in Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind

Actor Terry Crews, best known for his role as Terry Jeffords on “Brooklyn 99,” has joined the Nova Corps and will be seen in the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind coaster opening at EPCOT on May 27.

Disney and Marvel announced his appearance when they released a behind-the-scenes photo of him in his Nova Corps suit.

Crews will portray Centurion Tal Marik, Commander of the Starcharter and close advisor to Nova Prime. It has already been announced that Glenn Close will be reprising her role as Nova Prime from the films and will be appearing in the pre-show area of the attraction.

Crew’s Marik will be calling on the Guardians to save the galaxy – again.

This attraction will be the first coaster attraction at EPCOT and the first reverse launch of a Disney coaster. It will also be one of the longest fully enclosed coasters in the world.

The ride vehicles will rotate 360 degrees and will position guests toward the action inside the ride. Music has played a large part in the movies and will also be a large part of the attraction. The soundtrack for your ride will change each time you ride the attraction. Disney has chosen six songs for the Cosmic Rewind Playlist.

The premise of the ride is that the people from the planet Xandar are coming to Earth and creating the first “other-world” showcase at EPCOT – the Wonders of Xandar pavilion. At the pavilion, guests will learn about their culture and discover more how the two worlds are similar in many ways.

Then Eson, a Celestial, who has been watching Eath for eons is looking ‘to right a wrong in a big way,’ and the Guardians of the Galaxy — Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot — step in to help save the day.

There are currently cast member previews taking place in which Disney cast has been riding the attraction, but have not yet walked through the queue to see any of the pre-shows. We will be riding the attraction during the Annual Passholder previews and will provide a full review in May prior to the opening of the attraction to the general public.
