New Haunted Mansion ride photo debuts at Walt Disney World
One of my favorite things to do when riding attractions is to make sure I pose for the ride cameras and in particular the Haunted Mansion in the Magic Kingdom at Disney World. Funny faces, scared faces and various poses are always fun to look at later. Now, Disney is changing the look of the ride photo.
The new look now includes a having one of the three hitchhiking ghosts hitching a ride with you. The older look had the Hatbox Ghost and two others on the outside of the ride vehicle. Now, one of the three apparitions are floating above you.
Disney announced that this is the first change to a onboard photos of some of the attractions at Disney World.
There’s no photo preview wall at the exit of this attraction where you can link your photo, so there are two options to have it automatically linked to your Disney account while riding:
- Use your mobile device. Enable Bluetooth for the My Disney Experience app before riding, ensure you’ve logged into the app sometime earlier that day, and keep your device out of low power mode. Then just put your device in your pocket or bag while you enjoy the ride.
- Wear a MagicBand that’s linked to your Disney account. If you plan to reuse a MagicBand from a previous visit, click here for a few tips about your Disney PhotoPass experience.
And, if you are wondering where the camera is located, look to the last portrait in the portrait gallery when you are on the ride.
