Meet the villain in the new Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind ride
Marvel has announced who the big baddie the Guardians of the Galaxy and guests will go up against when the Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind opens on May 27, 2020 — Eson.
According to Marvel, Eson, a Celestial, has been watching Eath for eons. “The Celestial is looking ‘to right a wrong in a big way,’ and the Guardians of the Galaxy — Star-Lord, Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot — step in to help save the day. But, they can’t do it alone and need our help to stop him from completing his grand plan!”
Eson, who appeared in the “Guardians of the Galaxy” film, once possessed the Power Stone, one of the six Infinity Stones. While in the film, Eson and Guardians of the Galaxy never met – they will now – as will you.
We should learn more in the coming weeks as cast members, annual passholders and Disney Vacation Members will be previewing the attraction.
The attraction is one of the longest enclose coasters in the world and will have a reverse launch. The ride vehicles rotate 360 degrees throughout the attraction so the focus is always on the action.
